SOHAM Nepal organized a training programme on “Basic Geographic Information System (GIS) with Surfer handling” under a SOHAM summer training programme from August 13-25, 2017 in Kathmandu. The training is targeted to B.Sc fourth year students. Altogether, 15 students participated in the programme.
A closing and certificate distribution programme was also arranged on September 1, 2017 at meeting hall of Pancheshwar Multipurpose Project, Hanumansthan, New Baneshwor. Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal, Chairperson, SOHAM-Nepal chaired the programme. Dr. Janak Lal Nayava, advisor, SOHAM-Nepal was the chief guest. Mr. Suman Kumar Regmi, General Secretary was present during the occasion. Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal delivered welcome speech. On the occasion, Mr. Barun Paudel, Secretary highlighted the programme activities. Mr. Janak Lal Nayava distributed certificate to all the participants and also gave closing remark. On behalf of training participant, Mr. Chiranjivi Dahal shared training experiences.
