National Symposium on Hydrology and Meteorology-2018

The world water day and meteorological day is going to be celebrated this year in Nepal throughout the week starting from 17 March to 23 March, 2018. The theme for World Water Day has been announced  to be “Nature for Water” and World Meteorological Day to be “Weather Ready, Climate Smart”. On this occasion, Society of Hydrologists and Meteorologists (SOHAM-Nepal) has decided to convene its third National Symposium on Hydrology and Meteorology-2018 (Announcement_SOHAM National Symposium-2018). The symposium has envisaged to contribute the concerned government agencies, the academicians, and professionals by promoting studies, researches and exchange of knowledge in the field of hydrology and meteorology.

The target group of this symposium is the young researchers, Government and non-government professionals working on hydro-meteorology and relevant sectors, stake holders, policy planners, young students and researchers of hydrology, meteorology, environmental and earth sciences, media persons and general public. 

All interested are welcomed to participate in the symposium by submitting an abstract for oral presentation or poster display. The abstract should be of maximum 500 words. The poster size should be of 91X122 cm. Sample of abstract and poster size can be downloaded from the provided link for your reference.

Participants are requested to fill up the form (Registration_Form_National_Symposium_2018_SOHAM-Nepal) for the registration and send to SOHAM by email or by hand to SOHAM office. Registration fee is waived for SOHAM-Nepal members. Institutional participant must pay Rs. 1000 where as individual participant has to pay Rs. 500. Participants are requested to send their registration fees through bank transfer in SOHAM account in NMB bank with following detail.
