The first meeting of 7th executive committee held on 13 Nov, 2017 decided Dr. Dilip Kumar Gautam (LM 159) and Dr. Narayan Prasad Chaulagain (LM 227) as nominated members of the newly elected executive committee. The executive committee also thanks the previous executive committee for handover of its responsibility to new committee.

New election date and formation of election committee (October 8, 2017)

 The executive committee meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Rijan Bhakta Kayastha was held on October 8, 2017(Sunday).  The meeting decided election date for new (7th) executive committee as October 14, 2017 (Ashoj 28, 2074).  The meeting also formed a three members election committee as,

•  Special General Assembly (October 7, 2017)

Special General Assembly was held on October 7, 2017 at Heera Palace Banquet and Events, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. During the programme,  voting was conducted over following two agenda,

Agenda 1: To declare all uncontested (निर्विरोध) post of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary as elected and reschedule the election process for remaining posts of GS and Six members.
·Agenda 2: To cancel all uncontested (निर्विरोध) posts and go for new election process.

The result obtained was as follows,

Total participated members = 56
Vote received for Agenda 1= 6
Vote received for Agenda 2= 44
Invalid vote (Blank) = 1

The agenda 2 was passed by majority. 

Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal resigned from the post of chairperson at the end of Special General Assembly. SOHAM executive committee meeting held on October 7, 2017, expressed thanks to Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal for his leadership during last three years and also endorsed his resignation as approved by Special General Assembly.

• SOHAM meeting (September 16, 2017)

Special General Assembly, which was declared for September 16 , 2017 was canceled. Only 51 members (out of 178) were present during the registration. SOHAM regulation clearly states that there must be at least 51% (91) members in the Special General Assembly. Otherwise, next special assembly has to be conducted after two weeks. Thus, an executive committee meeting held on September 16, 2017 decided the next date for Special General Assembly. As per the decision, Special General Assembly will be held on Ashoj 21, 2074 (October 7, 2017), Saturday at 8 AM at Heera Palace Banquet and Events, New Baneshwor (Opposite to Krishna Tower building).

2) चालु निर्वाचन प्रकृयालाई खारेज गरी नयाँ प्रकृयामा जाने

The executive committee meeting held on September 7, 2017 decided the venue and date/time of Special General Assembly (SGA) of SOHAM Nepal. As per the decision, Special General Assembly (SGA) will be held on Bhadra 31, 2074 (September 16, 2017), Saturday at 11 AM at Heera Palace Banquet and Events, New Baneshwor (Opposite to Krishna Tower building). The meeting also decided the agenda as,

The executive committee members decided to held Special General Assembly (SGA) in this critical moment for the formation of 7th executive committee and also agreed to declare the venue and date/time of Special General Assembly (SGA) in the meeting on September 7, 2017 (tomorrow).

• Executive committee meeting regarding an official letter as received from election committee (August 31, 2017)

SOHAM executive committee meeting was held on August 31, 2017 after getting an official letter from election committee on August 29, 2017 regarding the status of election-2017. The meeting decided to have next EC meeting with the advisory board as soon as possible to discuss on the matter related to election-2017 and the formation of new executive committee.

• Executive Meeting (August 27, 2017)

SOHAM executive committee meeting was held on August 27, 2017 to discuss on the matter related to election-2017 with possible solution. The meeting decided to make a request to election committee for an official views (letter) regarding the status of election-2017.

• Final name list of the candidate and decision made by election committee (August 26, 2017)

SOHAM election committee released final name list of the candidate for 7th executive committee. As some of the candidate interested to withdraw their name and there is no specific provision mentioned in SOHAM regulation (BIDHAN) for this matter, the election committee has decided for further steps to the executive committee.

• Election date and formation of election committee (July 23, 2017)

Three years tenure of current executive committee will be terminated soon. Thus, the present executive committee meeting held on July 23 (Sunday) decided the election date as September 1, 2017 (Bhadra 16, 2074) for new (7th) executive committee. The meeting also formed three members election committee as per SOHAM regulation 2058.

Special General Assembly of SOHAM-Nepal was held in Kathmandu on October 7, 2017. This is the second attempt  after cancellation of first attempt  on September 16, 2017.  The venue was Heera Palace Banquet and Events, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

Dr. Rijan Bhakta Kayasta, Vice-Chairperson, delivered a warm welcome speech and also highlighted the objective of the programme. Prof. Rupak Man Rajbhandari, Coordinator, Election Committee presented election committee report.  Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal, Chairperson expressed his opinion over current scenario and also on meeting agenda. Some of the life members, who participated in the election 2017 and the member of  advisory board also expressed their opinion on meeting agenda.  The two agenda of the meeting were,

Consequently, the agenda 2 was passed by majority.  At the end, Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal resigned from the post of Chairperson and also closed the programme. The programme was conducted by Mr. Barun Paudel, Secretary initially but took over by Dr. Jagat Kumar Bhusal following his speech.
